On the top floor.. you'll find this display of the Louis XV Rhino. The backdrop is a map of where this Rhino lived... in the zoo at Versailles!
For 2017 --- there was a small room devoted to this exhibit on the history of this museum. The building dates from the 1800s. It and the collection fell into dis-repair -- but rose Phoenix-like from the ashes of war and abandonment. The text and images below highlight the journey from history to transformation....
