Behind the Scenes at Stuart Ng Books 8/2

On Saturday 8/1...Stuart was working (even though we didn't have our usual open hours scheduled) and good thing as we had a steady stream of visitors who just stopped by, anxious to see us after Comic Con and take home new items we brought back.

Just added to NEW ARRIVALS on our website....Terry Dodson Bombshells 4, Chris Sanders 3, Mike Mignola From the Vault 2, and Torch Tiger. We will be getting the J. Scott Campbell and Sean "Cheeks" Galloway books... but they aren't in our hands yet. Watch the New Arrivals page for updates on these and other titles coming soon.

The new Wendling "Daisies" sketchbook continues to wow...

Here are 2 quick views of the interior:

The book is in color and b&w and the paper is a cream stock with a rich look and feel (like butter:)

Here's the front cover....

And the back...

NOW IN STOCK....Signed copies of the Chris Sanders 3 sketchbook:

Here's Stuart at our booth:

Thank you for all your kind comments on our booth and stock... and for the follow-up orders that are arriving. We are still unboxing stock and re-building the showroom. Your patience is appreciated. We are replying to inquiries as fast as we can.

We were pleased to debut our new publication... the Claire Wendling "Daisies" sketchbook. It was at the printers during the convention, and the one box of copies that arrived during the show was an instant sell-out. DAISIES IS IN STOCK NOW.

We also debuted Eric Goldberg's first ever sketchbook, "Enjoy it While You Can, Kid", and 2 new titles by the Creaturebox creators Greg Baldwin and Dave Guertin.

Peggy will be adding more info on all our Comic Con acquisitions on the "New Arrivals" page of our website.

Photos and comments about our booth are appearing on the web, in blogs, etc. Our booth is 50 feet (5 10x10 booths), and is made possible by relocating most of our Torrance showroom stock and fixtures to the San Diego Convention Center.

One blog described our space as an "oasis" on the crowded convention floor.... and credited our bag check policy. We strive to provide you with a comfortable shopping environment. Most patrons are happy to unload their backpacks etc while they visit. Our booth is also large enough to accommodate wheelchairs, and our team is happy to assist with shopping and browsing. Sadly, we must limit access to the booth for strollers and younger children. It's become a safety issue for kids, staff and patrons, and we apologize for any inconvenience. We welcome your comments on how to improve our booth and your shopping experience.

Enjoy the comic con posts.... and thanks for visiting...
