Cue Thunderbirds Theme ... all systems go 8.12

Here is your SNB status report....
On Aug 11, we shipped a record one-day total of orders. No it's not even close to what Amazon.com does in 30 mins.... but for your small but devoted crew here, it was an unprecedented effort. The USPS bin in the background of the shot is completely filled w/ domestic and intl flat rate envelopes. Each order is handboxed, and many are intl orders. This week we shipped our first ever orders to Estonia and Portugal.
I'm the one who puts those little labels w/ the country names on them and I highlight each one myself. Stuart thinks its sort of overkill, but having once had a package w/ a postcode for the UK end up in Canada, I think it helps...

Here are Mary and Stuart in the showroom with order in progress... lined all around them. Yep, Stuart's packing too ... he gets the tricky ones.... we're still hands-on here.

Couldn't resist an update on Daisies... worldwide interest is brisk and we are shipping individual copies sent to a domestic US address via Priority Mail Tyvec envelope. Shipping these is more labor intensive than we anticipated. Each book is protected with cardboard and hand-wrapped so it arrives in same condition it left us. Note to self... big format is nice, but so is a smaller book that fits into a USPS Flat rate envelope ;)

Thanks again to all of you for your patience and support. I probably won't be able to post again until later next week.
Peggy is adding books to the "New Arrivals" page as soon as they are processed. We have more post-con artist sketchbooks coming, including Charest, Sean "Cheeks" Galloway, Ragnar, J. Scott Campbell, etc.
Mary is at the order desk M-F, regular business hours.
Stuart and I handle the incoming messages during weekends and extended hours (early morning/late at night).
There is someone at the office 7 days a week. We are replying to all phone and email messages in the order rec'd. We are still appx 24 hours behind on replies, but catching up.
The showroom in Torrance has resumed regular Saturday open hours from noon -4PM, and we continue to offer our "FREE GIFT" items.
We will be adding to the "Area Attractions" part of our showroom page. It's easy to make a day of your visit, with all the family and artist friendly attractions near us. Did you know there is a "Southern California Live Steamers Mi nature Railroad" hobby group at Wilson Park (3 blocks from our showroom). Free train rides from 11AM - 3PM the first Sunday and 3rd Sat of every month.
And at the same park, there is a wheelchair and stroller accessible Tree House!
Great sketching opportunities at the park, with 3 ball fields, farmers market, and duck pond (currently closed for renovations). Cool beach-area temps here in Torrance, and lots of shade at the parks. Lots of casual dining options nearby. And books to see... LOTS of books.
aloha and thanks for visiting...
