The San Diego convention center has a futuristic design .. and a nickname 'The Space Station"
It makes the perfect setting for all things Star Wars... and there are all things Star Wars at SDCC. Starting with the Star Wars booth .. and its giant screen playing scenes from the films and animated series...
Star Wars launched film merchandising. It was released before studios retained merchandising rights ... a policy adopted after George Lucas retained the merchandising rights for that little space film idea he had...
The official Star Wars booth had props from the upcoming new film...
And lots of mini-booths will all sorts of Star Wars must haves... Wookie Beach Towel anyone???
Popular new offerings included hologram images that moved with mind power...
