Stuart first attended Angouleme in 2005! It was to see an exhibition of art by Claire Wending, who was a featured artist that year. He also had a chance to meet her. Stuart had never travelled outside the US before that trip. What an adventure we have all been on since then!
This year in France we had exceptional weather. Only a few days of rain. Most days were cloudy and cool, but great for walking. We even had several days of full sun. Thanks, global warming. My early visits there were France in real winter... with cold temps, rain, and even snow in Paris one year! I still have never seen Paris in springtime.. but my 2020 visit and this one have felt pretty close, with bright days of sunshine and even flowers blooming in some of the parks.
On the last day of the festival... we joined the crowd at the train station...

I was especially happy to have a walk-in shower with a textured floor! No slippery risk factors.
