I haven't attended one of these conferences, so I can't speak from personal experience, but this sounds like a terrific Professional Development education opportunity for So Cal indie artists (perhaps with smaller crowds than a big comic con or Expo). The FAQ page gives details on ticket prices ($100-$150, but there is a discount price for students with ID). The FAQ page also cautions that parking at the conference venue is limited, so arriving via Lyft or Uber is recommended.
