WonderCon 2017 --- Cosplay and around the Con (2 of 2)

Since I just attended the annual Motion Picture Costume Exhibit at FIDM ---
http://stuartngbooks.blogspot.com/2017/03/fidm-costume-exhibit-2017-post-1-of-2.html

and got the pleasant surprise of costumes from Dr. Strange...
Of course I was delighted to see Dr. Strange well represented at WonderCon  2017...

As well as familiar favorites... like this chance pairing of Maleficent with Gandalf...
This Sherlock was a sport to pose with my beloved Benedict Cumberbatch as Hamlet tote bag (art by Fox Estacado)
This was the first con where I saw Zootopia cosplay!

Most of the cosplay photo-ops happen in the patio and garden areas at the entrance of the Exhibition Hall..

There are impromptu fan and character encounters happening inside the hall as well. The best part of conventions is seeing fans and cosplayers sharing love and respect for the characters we all enjoy!

Below was Kubo and the Two Strings impressive cosplay by a pair of young kids!
Fans of all ages enjoy seeing a favorite character at the con...

Sometimes you see folks shopping for character themed attire....

or leaping into character

Not sure who or what this little character was... but saw several of them around the grounds...

 Of course, everyone knows Pikachu...
Around the con ... there is something for everyone... with panels ... signings.... vendors.. and surprises!

Signings are a great way to meet artists.
The National Cartoonists Society had an array of guest artists... signing for charity! Art with heart!
Here's guest artist Jeff Keane of the long-running "Family Circus" comic.

Many vendors have large replicas of popular characters inside their booths... sometimes these items are for photo ops..
....promotion....
.. or even for sale!

With WonderCon expanding into more convention hall floor space each year....
There's so much to explore...

When they announce the show's over and dim the lights... the crowd thins...
 ...and the load-out begins.
See you next year!!!
