Stan Lee's LA Comic Con, post 2 of 2 -- Cosplay

Post 2 of 2 on  "Stan Lee's LA Comic Con." (aka Stan Lee's LA Comic Con, a Comiczake Expo)
What impressed me about the crowds at this convention was not just the size of them...

but the enthusiasm. This was a show for fans... and full of fans. Not as many "civilian gawkers" as some of the biggest shows.

Yes, there were long lines for some attractions... but I think it was mostly for autographs. Not the huge lines around booths handing out con exclusive plastic souvenirs...

There were lots of kids and entire families in costumes. Maybe it's the Halloween vibe.. but it was an inclusive, friendly atmosphere worth celebrating.

Lots of Marvel characters ....

Many ingenious recreations of film favorites.. I loved this Edna...
And this gender flip on Jack Skellington, with a nifty Zero!

Hot Topic was a sponsor of the show.
They previewed this licensed clothing line inspired by upcoming Fantastic Beasts film...

The massive staircases at this venue became prime spots for themed Cosplay gatherings..
Star Trek...
Boba Fett..
Stormtroopers..

The Cosplay with kids is always so charming!

Check out these two sisters from the recent Kubo film...

Got these shots from an upstairs window... overseeing almost the entire exhibit hall...

At the far end was the Hot Topic mainstage...

Happened to be there when some classic Star Trek cast members were being interviewed..

Props and costumes are wonderful to see close up....

Till next year! (also see post 1 of 2 ...http://stuartngbooks.blogspot.com/2016/10/stan-lees-la-comic-con-post-1-of-2.html)
