Family Fun - Wilson Park (Updated May 2019)

Yet another reason we love Torrance: Wilson Park!
located at 2200 Crenshaw Blvd... on the west side of Crenshaw (between Del Amo and Sepulveda) Wilson Park is HUGE. You'd never know it from the street, but the park is 44+ acres... with a .9 mile walking path, a duck pond, miniature train ride, playground, tree house, 3 ballfields, basketball, tennis, horseshoes, batting cages, and in-line skating rink!
Here's a view from Crenshaw:

Inside this large parking lot off Crenshaw, the Wilson Park/Torrance Farmer's Market is held on Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 8AM - 1PM:

A view of the playground (these next 2 photos from are Jan 2018 -- playground equipment is similar, but has been updated since then)
and a wider view...
Here's the entrance to the tree house...
voted best treehouse in LA by LA Weekly, this tree house is handicap/stroller accessible, and you get tree-top views from the south end...

One of my favorite spots is the duck pond. Recently renovated... it has shade, benches and lots of wildlife from nearby Madrona Marsh....(UPDATE Jan 5.2018) The duck pond was drained and fenced back in 2015. There are plans to renovate this area and change it into a water feature, but construction has stalled due to increased costs: https://www.dailybreeze.com/2017/02/08/torrance-moves-forward-with-splash-pad-at-wilson-park-despite-11-million-price-tag/

UPDATE MAY 2019
The Duck Pond has been replaced with the Wilson Park Splash Pad -- an interactive fountain/playground open from 10AM - Dusk.

With this new family-friendly play area, Wilson Park is a perfect spot for family fun... This oasis is super close to our showroom (appx 3 miles). Don't miss it!!!
