This You Tube video is a 5 min primer.. produced by no less than PBS!... on Steampunk. I've seen these cosplayers at Conventions, and wondered "what's up"..... so this gives some background. One of the artists describes the asthetic as "a collision of fashion & technology." It's interesting.. sort of like those weird glasses Johnny Depp wears in Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Kinda cool... if a little creepy. I'm on the fence I have to say.
