Get Inspired/Family Fun - Natl History Dino Hall, artist sketchbook

The new Dinosaur Hall is a real wonder! A friend visiting from out of town urged us to go: "you must see this immediately." So how could we resist. On the website, you can discover an interactive map of the exhibits and see lots of behind-the-scenes info...

Here's the entrance from the main lobby:
And the first room...
Right away... I saw an artist sketching!
Click to enlarge this quick review of dino time....
The entire dino hall is very kid friendly with lots and lots of interactive exhibits....here you can try your hand at fossil hunting...
The largest dino in the first room is NOT a brontosaurus....
she's a Mamenchisaurus! And here she in a mural and on display; with visitors for scale....
Dinos from land... sky... and sea are included...
And the exhibits are on view from an upper floor as well.....
